New Technology Lab Will Feature a Donation From TCL, America’s Fastest-Growing TV Brand

 

APPLE VALLEY, MN – September 17, 2018 – Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones will unveil a state-of-the-art technology lab at Westview Elementary in Apple Valley, Minnesota as part of his Write Your Own Story (WYOS) campaign. WYOS is a mantra that Tyus has lived by and wants to share with others. Write Your Own Story is about controlling the things you can control in your life and working to be great at whatever you choose. The technology lab is a place that Tyus hopes will inspire kids to learn how to write their own story and chase their dreams, no matter how big or small. 

 

Tyus is giving a new look to Westview Elementary by revamping a computer lab that includes graphics, fresh paint and new technology to the elementary school he attended as a young child. As part of this effort, Westview Elementary is also receiving a donation of 4K large screen TVs from TCL, a proud corporate partner of the Timberwolves.

 

Last season, the Minnesota-native kicked off his WYOS campaign with a revamped technology lab for students at Excell Academy. Tyus also spearheaded a WYOS essay-writing contest during the school year where the winning Excell students received tickets to a Timberwolves game and came in early to meet him during his pregame warm-ups.
